[ARCHIVED] BOIL WATER ALERT CONTINUES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

WATER SERVICE UPDATE: Repairs to the broken City of Fort Lauderdale water main are progressing and water pressure is gradually being restored, but the Precautionary Boil water notice remains in effect until further notice.   Please be advised that the City has resumed normal operations and programming.

We advise ALL water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is advised. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This "PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE" will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.

If you have any questions, you may contact Oakland Park's Public Works Department at 954-630-4430 during business hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For after hours service, please call 954-561-6275.
