Did you know you can stay informed in an emergency with official updates from the City? Oakland Park uses CodeRED to send voice messages, emails, or texts during emergencies, severe weather, precautionary boil water notice, or other important events.

The City has expanded its notification options and now offers alerts in Spanish, French, and Portuguese, in addition to English. Residents can also sign up for weather alerts from the National Weather Service to be notified of severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, and potential flash flooding.

Residents have to opt-in to receive these alerts.

Ways to Sign Up/Update CodeRED settings:
-Click here to create a CodeRED account or log into an existing account to update your preferences.
OR
-Text OaklandPark to 99411
OR
-Visit www.oaklandparkfl.gov and click on the CodeRED button on the home page.

When enrolling or updating message options, use the drop-down menu next to your name to select your language preference. Severe weather warning options appear below your phone number. CodeRED phone calls, text messages, and emails are free. Simply sign up on the City website and select your preferred means of communication to stay informed.
