The Building and Permitting Division is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service while protecting the safety, health, and welfare of the citizens in the City of Oakland Park through the administration and enforcement of Building Codes to ensure a better built environment for all.
The Business Regulatory Unit ensures that businesses adhere to all regulations outlined in the City's Code of Ordinances. In addition, the Business Regulatory Unit monitors business licensing, approves applications, and inspects properties to verify that all requirements for the purposed use(s) have been met.
The Fire Rescue Division is driven to be a high performance team, which is recognized by our community for providing quality, compassionate, and efficient fire suppression, prevention, and emergency medical services.
The Oakland Park City Commission entered into a contract for police services with the Broward Sheriff's Office on August 1, 2000. The BSO/Oakland Park District provides police services for the City's 8.04 square miles divided into 14 patrol zones.
