Oakland Park is on the move — and now you can see it the moment you arrive. The City’s new entryway signs are officially installed, proudly welcoming residents and visitors alike. On October 8, 2025, the Mayor and City Commissioners gathered to officially unveil the first sign along Dixie Highway, just south of Oakland Park Boulevard on the right northbound side — a bold new symbol of community pride and progress.
A second sign has also been installed on NW 44th Street, just west of NW 31 Avenue, extending Oakland Park’s signature look to another key gateway into the city.
These entryway signs are more than markers — they’re a reflection of our community’s spirit, creativity, and shared vision. Designed in-house by a talented City employee with an eye for detail, the signs were thoughtfully crafted to mirror the aesthetic of Oakland Park and celebrate the pride we all share in our hometown. Their modern design builds upon the look established in recent projects, such as City Centennial Park, Dr. Carter G. Woodson Park, and Fire Station 9, helping to create a unified identity and a distinct sense of place throughout the community.
By enhancing curb appeal and tying together our corridors, the new gateway signs symbolize the city's progress as it confidently moves into its Second Century. Each installation stands as a reminder that Oakland Park is not only welcoming today but also building for tomorrow.
As you pass by, take a moment to enjoy these new landmarks. They’re another sign — literally — that Oakland Park continues to evolve into a vibrant, connected city where residents, visitors, and businesses feel right at home.
