Pardon our dust! We're thrilled to announce that the Collins Community Center will undergo significant renovations starting Monday, July 22nd, 2024.
Thanks to a generous $2 million grant secured from FloridaCommerce, these renovations will enable the relocation of the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library and benefit lower-income residents by providing enhanced educational support, employment training and opportunities, and telehealth services.
One of the most anticipated upgrades is the creation of a technology hub, which will provide better access to technology and resources for all residents.
During the July 17th meeting, the City Commission approved a work authorization with Currie Sowards Aguila Architects to spearhead the architectural and engineering services, allowing this exciting project to proceed.
We look forward to creating a vibrant and resourceful facility for everyone to enjoy. Stay tuned for updates, and thank you for your patience while we make these exciting enhancements!
