Oakland Park Library is located temporarily at the Jaco Pastorius Community Center, 1098 NE 40 Court. We are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. - 8 p., and Saturday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Holidays will affect these hours, please check our website for holiday hours. If you are over 18, you may receive a free library card if you are a resident of Broward County, you own property or a business in Oakland Park, or you are a student, teacher, administrative or support staff in Oakland Park schools or a library volunteer. Just bring a photo ID (driver's license or school ID), along with proof of your mailing address and you may check out materials the same day. If you are 16-17 years old, you are able to get a Library Card with your school photo ID and proof of local address. Children under 16 must come in with a parent or guardian to get a Library card. You can get your own card as soon as you can print your full name. Please call 954-630-4370 for more information. 

In our temporary housing, we currently have 9 computers for the public to use 1st come, 1st served. We allow each person to use the computer for an hour, longer if no one is waiting. Printing is available for a nominal fee. There are 2 computers for very young children to use that are loaded with educational games software, which easily acquaint them with the use of a mouse and a keyboard. We have programs for all ages from toddlers through the teen years, as well as programs for adults and seniors throughout the year.
