Commercial Boulevard, just east of North Dixie Highway, will be closed to vehicular traffic from Saturday, July 22nd at 6 p.m. to Monday, July 24th at 11:59 p.m. for Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) crossing rehabilitation. If necessary to complete the scheduled work, the closure will extend to Tuesday, July 25th at 11:59 p.m.
Vehicular traffic will be detoured via U.S.1, Oakland Park Boulevard, and North Dixie Highway as follows:
Westbound traffic on Commercial Boulevard will be directed to go south on U.S. 1, right (west) at Oakland Park Boulevard, and right (north) at North Dixie Highway to Commercial Boulevard.
Eastbound traffic on Commercial Boulevard will be directed to turn right (south) on North Dixie Highway, left (east) at Oakland Park Boulevard, and left (north) at U.S. 1 to Commercial Boulevard.
This detour will allow workers to safely perform necessary repairs to the FEC railway at Commercial Boulevard, just east of North Dixie Highway. Drivers should plan ahead and expect delays. We thank our residents for their patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
