The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) is scheduled to perform maintenance work on the railroad crossing located on West Oakland Park Boulevard.
Oakland Park Boulevard, just west of I-95, will be closed to vehicular traffic from Friday, August 5th at 9 p.m. to Friday, August 12th at 11:59 p.m. for railroad crossing rehabilitation. The closure may be extended in the event of inclement weather.
The following detour is being proposed and may be updated before the closure goes into effect:
Eastbound traffic on Oakland Park Boulevard will be directed to turn left (north) on USR7/US441, right (east) on Commercial Boulevard, and right (south) at Powerline Road to Oakland Park Boulevard.
Westbound traffic on Oakland Park Boulevard will be directed to take I-95 north to Commercial Boulevard, left (west) on SR870, and left (south) on SR7/US441 to Oakland Park Boulevard.
This detour will allow workers to safely perform necessary repairs to the railway crossing. Drivers should plan ahead and expect delays.
We thank our residents for their patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
