Temporary Water Main Shutdown Notice

Posted on: December 13, 2019

[ARCHIVED] Water Service Shutdown: NW 35th Street & NW 36th Street on Tuesday, December 17

Water Shut Off

This City of Oakland Park has advised residents on NW 35th Street and NW 36th Street that the Florida Department of Transportation has scheduled a Water Service Shutdown for Tuesday, December 17th between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Because water service will be discontinued, a precautionary Boil Water Notice will be issued once service is restored. This Notice will be in effect for 48 hours.

Residents are advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled during this period. A rolling boil for one minute is sufficient. The City will notify you at this number once the Boil Water Notice is lifted.

As a reminder the water to your home will be shut off on December 17th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and a precautionary boil water order will be in effect for a minimum of 48 hours after water is restored until such time as the testing of the water results are clean and safe for drinking.

We apologize in advance for the inconvenience.

Thank you and Happy Holidays.
