The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will temporarily close two roadways to allow crews to complete necessary Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) crossing rehabilitation work just east of North Dixie Highway. Temporary closures will be in effect:
Park Lane East (NE 38 Street): Closed Wednesday, October 22, at 6 p.m.- Saturday, October 25, at 8 p.m.
Oakland Park Boulevard: Closed Saturday, October 25, at 6 p.m. - Tuesday, October 28, at 8 p.m.
If necessary to complete the work, this closure may be extended to Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
Vehicular traffic on Park Lane East will be detoured via Dixie Highway as follows:
Vehicular traffic on Oakland Park Boulevard will be detoured via U.S. 1, NE 26 Street, and North Dixie Highway as follows:
Westbound traffic on Oakland Park Boulevard will be directed to go south on U.S. 1, right (west) at NE 26 Street, and right (north) on North Dixie Highway to Oakland Park Boulevard.
Eastbound traffic on Oakland Park Boulevard will be directed to turn right (south) on North Dixie Highway, left (east) at NE 26 Street, and left (north) on U.S. 1 to Oakland Park Boulevard.
Drivers should plan ahead, expect delays, and consider using alternative routes. We thank our residents for their patience and understanding as these improvements are completed.
