The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding this Open House to discuss proposed improvements on Oakland Park Boulevard from NW 31st Avenue to east of I-95.

This open house will have an informal format. No formal presentation will be made. Project plans will be on display and staff will be available to discuss the construction, answer questions and address individual concerns.

Project Improvements include adding new traffic signals, pedestrian crosswalks, and pedestrian signal countdown timers at NW 23rd Terrace; installing irrigation sleeves for future landscape project in median along Oakland Park Boulevard; adding drainage inlets along Oakland Park Boulevard; installing traffic signals mast arms at NW 18th Avenue; removing old asphalt and resurface Oakland Park Boulevard within project limits; improving sidewalks and curb ramps to meet current ADA standards and adding or replace signs and pavement markings.

Construction will begin January 25, 2016 and is expected to be completed by fall 2016. The cost of the proposed improvements is $3.2 million.
