Oakland Park Boulevard is scheduled to be closed to vehicular traffic due to Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway crossing construction Saturday, January 23, at 6 a.m. through Tuesday, January 26, at 6 a.m.
Posted detour signs will be in place to direct traffic and allow workers to complete the necessary crossing upgrades. According to the Florida Department of Transportation, the work includes rehabilitating the existing track and replacing the crossing surface to ensure a smoother ride.
Reminder: The NE 16 Avenue Bridge (south of Oakland Park Boulevard) linking Oakland Park & Wilton Manors will be closed for repairs January 25-27. All vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be re-routed.
