FDOT Sidewalk Improvement Project -- Public Meeting

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) FDOT, is inviting you to a Public Meeting regarding the proposed City of Oakland Park Sidewalk Improvement Project on Thursday, June 2, 2022. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, will host a Virtual Public Meeting from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. and In-Person Construction Open House from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. regarding the sidewalk improvements within the neighborhoods of Central Oakland Park and Harlem McBride on Thursday, June 2, 2022.

The City of Oakland Park, as the Project Sponsor, received funding through the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and requested that FDOT District Four design and construct the Oakland Park Sidewalk Improvement Project.

The Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is investing over $300 million to create safer, healthier communities in Broward County. This project is one of many within a larger plan to create enhanced bicycle, pedestrian, and public transportation access throughout the Broward region. The Broward MPO is a federally mandated agency that is responsible for making decisions on local transportation issues and deciding how to spend federal funds on transportation projects within Broward County.
