Haitian Heritage Book Discussion - Virtual

Friday, May 14, 2021

The Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library, in partnership with Florida Center for the Book, celebrates Haitian Heritage Month with a book discussion of Everything Inside by Edwidge Danticat. This program aims to shed light on the diverse experiences of bold Haitian women in the fictional settings of Florida and Haiti, who reflect their culture with pride and resilience amidst various challenges. Danticat uses the characters in these emotional short stories to portray the themes of betrayal, death, and love. This Zoom book discussion event is open to members of the public 18 and over. The first 25 persons who wish to obtain a free copy of the book to prepare for the discussion will be able to collect one at the Library. To register for this program please call 954-630-4374 or email vernat@oaklandparkfl.gov
