Within Oakland Park's approximately 8-square miles are 31 distinct neighborhoods that reflect the City's rich diversity. Many of these neighborhoods have active homeowner/condominium associations for residents to maintain an active voice in the community and work in conjunction with City staff on quality of life issues. With the help of residents, businesses and schools who certified their properties, Oakland Park is a certified National Wildlife Community and accredited as a Tree City, U.S.A. Broward County Traffic Engineering

Broward County Mosquito Control

Mosquitoes are not only annoying, they can be a public health issue. The County Biologist regularly traps mosquitos, separates them by species and detects any potential viruses.
