Solid Waste Services
**** Sanitation Service During Inclement Weather ****
Please be aware that when there is an emergency, the City may suspend sanitation service. The City disposes garbage at Waste Connections and recycling at Waste Management. Our ability to provide solid waste collection service depends on the availability of those sanitation drop-off locations. Should these facilities close in an emergency, the City must wait until they reopen to provide collection service. Oakland Park uses CodeRed to provide updates on the status of City services; please click here to sign up to receive CodeRED notifications. Status updates are also provided on the City website. For more information, please call 954-630-4452.
