Soul Fest

February 7, 2020: Oakland Park Soul Fest is a celebration for the whole community commemorating Black History Month; marking the contributions and achievements of the African and Caribbean American community.

Polynesian Cultural Festival

February 22 and 23, 2020: Experience the culture, beauty and spirit of the Polynesian Islands at the 14th annual Polynesian Cultural Festival. 

TASTE of Oakland Park

February 28, 2020: TASTE of Oakland Park is a grand tasting Celebration of food and drink, for the locals by the locals. Admission tickets include food and beverage samples from all participants vendors. 

Youth Day

March 14, 2020: Youth Day is an Oakland Park tradition celebrating its 62nd AnniversaryHave tons of fun, excitement and youthful exuberance at Broward County's longest running parade.

Easter Egg Hunt

April 11, 2020: The Oakland Park Firefighters' Benevolent Association, will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt free to the public at Royal Palm Park located at 1701 NW 38th Street in Oakland Park. At Approximately 9:45 a.m., the Easter Bunny will arrive at the park in the fire engine to start the Easter Egg Hunt at 10:00 a.m.

Citywide Yard Sale

April 18, 2020: The City of Oakland Park offers the opportunity for you to sell your no longer needed or wanted items at the Citywide Yard Sale held at Jaco Pastorius Park.

Dancing in the Street

April 24, 2020: The City of Oakland Park presents a giant block party of dancing & music along Downtown Main Street/NE 12th Avenue between NE 38th Street and Oakland Park Boulevard. Check back for a listing of musical performers and stage locations.

Navy Days Concert

May 2, 2020: Navy Band Southeast performs military and patriotic favorites, as well as rock and brass band songs. 

Memorial Day Ceremony

May 25, 2020: Join City leaders and dignitaries along with the American Legion Post 222 as we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Summer Nights

July 10 & August 14, 2020: Celebrate summer nights in the park with two of the city’s most popular family events: the Culinary Arts Showcase, which features an hour and a half culinary presentation by local restaurants, followed by a family-friendly Moonlit movie.

Latin Fest

September 2020: In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Oakland Park Latin Fest is a free community celebration of the Latin culture through food, drink, music, dance and art at Jaco Pastorius Park.


October 2020: Enjoy live German music, German-style beer, and food in the Funky Buddha Biergarten.


Halloween Bash

October 2020: Join all the ghosts and goblins for a not-so-scary evening of fun and family entertainment at the Halloween Bash.

Veterans Day Ceremony

November 11, 2020: Join City officials and the Oakland Park American Legion Post 222 to honor all who served this country in the armed forces.

Moonlit Movies

Winter 2020: Join your friends and neighbors at Jaco Pastorius Park for Oakland Park Moonlit Movies! Enjoy fun outdoor activities followed by a family-friendly movie under the stars, bring your lawn chairs and blankets and experience Oakland Park Moonlit Movies.

Holiday Village

December 2020: 5th Annual Oakland Park Holiday Village is a family-friendly weekend event at Jaco Pastorius Park. City Commissioners will assist Santa Claus with the official lighting of Oakland Park's 40-feet tall Christmas Tree at the park's Grand Fountain Plaza.
