  1. VITA Free Tax Return Preparation

    March 31, 2018, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library

    Have your taxes prepared for free through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. IRS certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing for qualified individuals at the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library from January 23, 2018 to April 14, 2018 on Tuesdays from 2pm-5pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm with Saturday, February 17th and Saturday, March 17th being special days when no services will be provided. Before going make sure to call the Library at 954- 630-7374 or 954-630-4378 to find out the list of items you need to bring in preparation for your visit. The program is made available through the Hispanic Unity of Florida and services are provided in English and Spanish.

  1. Easter Egg Hunt Presented by Oakland Park Firefighters Saturday, March 31

    March 31, 2018, 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM @ Royal Palm Pavilion South

    On Saturday, March 31, 2018, the Oakland Park Firefighters’ Benevolent Association, will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt free to the public at Royal Palm Park (south entrance/playground) at 1701 NW 38th Street/Park Lane East in Oakland Park. At approximately 9:45 a.m., the Easter Bunny will arrive at the park in the fire engine kicking off the Easter Egg Hunt at 10:00 a.m. Children ages 12 and younger are invited to attend with their Easter basket or bag to hold the eggs. For more than 25 years, the Oakland Park Firefighters’ Benevolent Association has hosted the Easter Egg Hunt free of charge to children living in Oakland Park.
