    Due to the Florida Building Code continuing education requirements, all City of Oakland Park Plan Reviewers and Inspectors will be attending mandatory training classes April 12, 2017 and April 13, 2017. Therefore, there will not be any inspections or plans review on those dates. We apologize for any inconvenience.

  2. Florida Dept. of Transportation Public Workshop for Roadway Resurfacing & Restoration of U.S. 1

    The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four, will conduct a Public Workshop regarding the Resurfacing, Rehabilitation, and Restoration (RRR) Project along SR5/US1 (between Oakland Park and Commercial Boulevards). This will be conducted as an informal open house, with representatives offering pertinent information and answering questions. Design plans and posters will be available for public viewing.   2. VITA Free Tax Preparation

    Adults. Have your taxes prepared for free through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. IRS certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing for qualified individuals at the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library from January 24 to April 16 each Tuesday and Wednesday from 2pm-5pm. Before going make sure to call the Library at 954- 630-7374 or 954-630-4378 to find out the list of items you need to bring in preparation of your visit. The program is made available through the Hispanic Unity of Florida and services are provided in English and Spanish.
