  1. Oak Tree Development Neighborhood Participation Meetings

    The applicant for the proposed development of the former Oak Tree Golf Course has confirmed the dates of the Neighborhood Meetings pursuant to the City’s Neighborhood Participation Program prior to application submittal. Three Neighborhood Participation Meetings for the proposed development of the former Oak Tree Golf Course will be held as follows: 1. Monday, March 20th at 6:30 pm at Collins Community Center – 3900 NE 3rd Ave. 2. Tuesday, March 21st at 6:30 pm at Fire Station #87 – 2100 NW 39th Ave. 3. Wednesday, March 22nd at 6:30 pm at Collins Community Center – 3900 NE 3rd Ave. All interested persons may attend any of the above three meetings. The 139-acre property, located at 2400 Oaktree Lane, is at the southwest intersection of W. Prospect Road and NW 21st Avenue. PulteGroup is the contract purchaser who proposes to construct approximately 800 one and two-story residential units.

  2. VITA Free Tax Preparation

    Adults. Have your taxes prepared for free through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. IRS certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing for qualified individuals at the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library from January 24 to April 16 each Tuesday and Wednesday from 2pm-5pm. Before going make sure to call the Library at 954- 630-7374 or 954-630-4378 to find out the list of items you need to bring in preparation of your visit. The program is made available through the Hispanic Unity of Florida and services are provided in English and Spanish.
