Young adults 18 and over. Come join us for a relaxing yoga class. Whether you're a beginner or have had past yoga experience, you will have fun exploring new poses and movements. This class is especially tailored to young adults (18 years and older) with ASD and/or learning differences. We welcome parents to join in if necessary to ensure the comfort of all students. The instructor is a Certified Yoga Teacher with 18 years experience practicing yoga in the Ft. Lauderdale area. She comes to the class with valuable experience as a parent of a young adult with ASD. Do you love reading, enjoy working with younger children and want to give back to your community? Do you also need Community Service Hours to fulfill? If so, consider becoming a Teen Reading Buddy at the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library. Accepted participants must be:
--In grades 6 -12
--Committed to attend an 8-week session program Jan. 10 – Feb. 28, 2018 that meets each Wednesday from 4pm-5pm
--Attend one of the teen buddy orientation meetings
Interested Participants should stop by the Library’s Youth Services Department to pick-up an application.
