  4. Mighty Machine & Truck Day

    Start off with a fun story time sharing truck stories, rhymes and interactive songs. Afterwards, march over to see all the great City trucks and vehicles in the City’s parking lot on NE 12th Ave and NE 37th St. As you visit each vehicle, friendly drivers will eagerly answer questions and demonstrate the vehicle’s main functions. Starting at the Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library 1298 NE 37th Street All Ages. Tasty refreshments of ice cream and snow cones provided courtesy of Sal's Towing Company!

  5. Prehistoric Pottery with the Florida Public Archaeology Network

    July 17, 2019, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Ethel M. Gordon Oakland Park Library

    Students learn about the advent of pottery in Florida and do hands-on experimentation using play-doh or air-dry clay to explore pottery-making and decorating technology. The lesson also teaches about how pottery can help archaeologists understand a site and its prehistoric people. Ages 8+ Pre-registration required.
