4th of July Holiday Reminder: Fireworks Prohibited in Oakland Park

4th of July

Oakland Park Code of Ordinances Chapter 6, Article III Fireworks

More than ever during this coronavirus pandemic, we wish everyone a safe and healthy Holiday weekend.

With the record number of new coronavirus cases across Florida, Oakland Park residents and businesses are reminded to continue to comply with Broward County emergency orders for facial coverings, social distancing, sanitization, and other requirements to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Please remain vigilant and follow CDC guidelines – especially over the Holiday weekend:

  • Wear a mask or face covering to protect yourself and others
  • Maintain six feet of social distancing
  • Avoid group gatherings of more than 10 people
  • Stay at home if you are sick
  • In addition, wash your hands frequently
  • Use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces

Oakland Park’s Coronavirus Call Center remains available to assist you. Residents and businesses can call 954-630-4335.

We hope everyone enjoys a safe 4th of July Holiday and, if you have not already done so, please remember to complete your 2020 U.S. Census. Thank you.
