The City of Oakland Park is participating with Broward County to implement a program, which applies to City Residents, to provide rebates for upgrading residential irrigation systems to improve efficiency and promote sustainability. As a participant in the Irrigation Rebate initiative, City residents who make improvements to their home irrigation system, may qualify for a financial incentive rebates ranging from $200 to $600.
The program promotes the use of smart water savings technology WaterSense® labeled devices such as weather-based timers and pressure regulating sprinklers for residential use. Participants can choose from four different rebate options. Please note; this is a pilot program based on first-come, first-serve basis.
To be eligible for the rebate program, homeowners must have a working sprinkler system and must irrigate using municipal metered city water. All program participants will receive an irrigation system evaluation, a water conservation tool kit and important information about additional Broward County sustainability programs.
