Community Involvement

Commissioner Sara Guevrekian has been a resident of the City of Oakland Park since the 1980s and resides in the Royal Palm Isles neighborhood. She was elected to her second term on the City Commission in November 2016.

Sara strives to make positive contributions toward protecting what is good about Oakland Park while also deterring negative elements from impacting our everyday quality of life and encourages each member of our community to do the same. She is an avid proponent of community building, encourages community participation in local government, and is happy to exchange ideas on topics that affect the overall betterment and prosperity of our great City of Oakland Park.
