Father's Day Fishing Tournament

Oakland Park's Father's Day Fishing Tournament is a fun and educational "catch and release" tournament held every year on the Saturday before Father's Day. This event is open to everyone. Participate in casting skill contests in addition to the outstanding fishing. Prizes are awarded. Join us at Royal Palm Park for the Father's Day Fishing Tournament.

2017 Father’s Day Fishing Tournament Close-up



The 2017 Annual Father’s Day Weekend Fishing Tournament continues our fishing tournament tradition! Royal Palm Park was filled on Saturday, June 17 with over 60 anglers of all ages. Fish were stubborn at the start of the day for most, but they over 100 fish were caught and released over the course of the day. We finished off the tournament with the casting contest and trophy awards for three age groups and three categories: Biggest Fish; Most Fish Caught; and Casting Contest.
