January 18, 2019:2nd Annual Oakland Park Community Soul is a celebration for the whole community commemorating Black History Month; marking the contributions and achievements of the African and Caribbean American community.
January 19, 2019: The City of Oakland Park offers the opportunity for you to sell your no longer needed or wanted items at the Citywide Yard Sale held at Jaco Pastorius Park.
February 15, 2019: Taste of Oakland Park is a grand tasting Celebration of food and drink, for the locals by the locals. Admission tickets include food and beverage samples from all participants vendors.
March 9, 2019:Youth Day is an Oakland Park tradition celebrating its 62nd Anniversary. Have tons of fun, excitement and youthful exuberance at Broward County's longest running parade.
Easter Egg Hunt April 20, 2019: The Oakland Park Firefighters’ Benevolent Association, will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt free to the public at Royal Palm Park located at 1701 NW 38th Street in Oakland Park. At approximately 9:45 a.m., the Easter Bunny will arrive at the park in the fire engine to start the Easter Egg Hunt at 10:00 a.m.
May 27, 2019: Join City leaders and dignitaries along with the American Legion Post 222 as we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
June 14, 2019: Celebrate summer nights in the park with two of the city’s most popular family events: the Culinary Arts Showcase, which features an hour and a half culinary presentation by local restaurants, followed by a family-friendly Moonlit movie.
September 20, 2019: In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Oakland Park Latin Fest is a free community celebration of the Latin culture through food, drink, music, dance and art at Jaco Pastorius Park.
November 3, 2019: Enjoy amazing stories and story tellers, face painting and an incredible nature tour. Learn about our native sand pine scrub and plants, Florida native wildlife species and much more!
December 6, 7 and 8, 2019: The 4th Annual Oakland Park Holiday Village is a family-friendly weekend event at Jaco Pastorius Park. City Commissioners will assist Santa Claus with the official lighting of Oakland Park's 40-feet tall Christmas Tree at 6:30 p.m. Friday, December 6 at the park's Grand Fountain Plaza.
