The Building and Permitting Division is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service while protecting the safety, health, and welfare of the citizens in the City of Oakland Park through the administration and enforcement of Building Codes to ensure a better built environment for all.
The Community Enhancement Division works in cooperation with residents and businesses alike, to build strong community partnerships, and to ensure compliance with code standards, in order to enhance the appearance and safety of our community.
The Engineering and Construction Management Team works to develop and implement technical solutions for the City's Capital Improvement Projects from concept to funding, project management and construction completion, while involving stakeholders to minimize inconvenience to residents and restoring affected properties to an as good as or better condition.
The Planning and Zoning Division strives to provide outstanding customer service while ensuring that development is consistent with the City’s Comprehensive Plan and meets or exceeds the requirements of the Land Development Code.
Neighborhood Traffic Committee
The purpose of the Neighborhood Traffic Committee is to administer, evaluate, and implement applications for residential traffic calming and street closures and apply them to the proposed modification of local streets within residential neighborhoods submitted by a neighborhood group.
